September is the time when the wineries are concentrated on the most delicate and demanding stage of the whole year: the harvest. The cellars of the "Wine Tourism Movement" open the doors to those who want to experience an afternoon in harvest participating in the first processing stages to turn grapes into wine.
It is a unique opportunity to learn more about wine and to dive into tubs of grapes barefoot like the old days!
PROGRAM:
16:00 to 17:00: guided tour of the vineyard with hints of organic viticulture and farming
17:00 to 21:00: Guided tastings of our 5 wines and visit to the winery
18:00 to 20:00: Folk and country Music by Daniele Zullo Duo
18:00 to 23:00: Open kitchen with meat, polenta and September "sugoli"
18:00 to 19:00: Wine-pressing into vats for kids and adults
20.30-22.30: International folk dances with Associazione ballo folk Tamzarà
You can visit the wine cellar with its spaces for vinification and aging in wooden barrels and visit the countryside to discover our vines (Chardonnay, Garganega, Corvina, Corvinone, Croatina, Rondinella) and organic farming methods.
By means of our Corte San Mattia map you can walk through the property by your own and discover all the key points of the farm: the vegetable garden, the olive grove, the orchard, the hen house, the farm animals, horses and bees.
The evening continues with roasted meet, potatoes, polenta and wine of the house. There will also be "sugoli", a typical grape pudding made with grapes.
