Children living in the city almost never know how the plants that produce the food that their moms serve on table look like.
That's why the Agriturismo San Mattia cultivates a small didactic kitchen garden (producing from summer 2009) to allow our guests to see how the different vegetables are grown and to taste their flavour and experience their fragrance directly where they grow.

The idea of an excursion to the country was developed from the idea of the didactic garden; it will allow the farmhouse guests to move along our land equipped with a small illustrated guide of plants, cultivations, animals and every interesting thing found on the farm at every season. We think it is very important, especially for children to be in contact with the land and its products.

Our guests can participate, upon availability, to guided tastings of our products to enjoy the delightful farm goods and observe how they grow on our fields and how they are processed and transformed.
